My good friend Githa Ong was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia in the Spring of 2002. Githa was only 24 at the time. Sadly, after a long valiant fight, Githa's struggle ended in November of 2003. My life has forever been changed by this experience, and I am still as determined as ever to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in their efforts to make stories like this one a thing of the past.
