Why am I doing a triathlon?
As you may know, I did the Home Depot Half Marathon with Team In Training back in January 2003. That experience was a big success, I was able to raise over $4000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! At that time, my primary motivation was my good friend Githa Ong, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in the Spring of 2002. Githa was only 24 at the time.Sadly, after a long valiant fight, Githa's struggle ended in November of 2003. My life has forever been changed by this experience, and I am still as determined as ever to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in their efforts to make stories like this one a thing of the past.

Which event am I doing?
I am now training for the Wildflower Olympic Triathlon.
This is my first Triathlon ever, and for those of you that are new to Triathlons, the Olympic distance consists of:
- A 1.5K (.93 mile) swim
- A 40K (24.8 mile) bike
- A 10K (6.2 mile) run
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.
Thanks for your support! -- Zack
